Stornogebühren

Wir erheben keine Gebühren für Reservierungen, die 7 Tage oder länger vor dem Abholtermin storniert oder geändert werden. Wenn Sie Ihre Reservierung nach diesem Zeitpunkt stornieren oder ändern, dann werden die folgenden Gebühren erhoben:

• Wenn Sie Ihre Reservierung weniger als 7 Tage vor dem Abholtermin stornieren oder ändern, dann werden Ihnen entweder die vollen Kosten der Reservierung oder bis zu maximal € 30,00, je nachdem, welches der niedrigere Betrag ist, angerechnet.
• Wenn Sie Ihre Reservierung weniger als 24 Stunden vor dem Abholtermin stornieren oder ändern, dann werden Ihnen entweder die vollen Kosten der Reservierung oder bis zu maximal € 70,00, je nachdem, welches der niedrigere Betrag ist, angerechnet.

Nichterscheinen

Wenn Sie Ihr Fahrzeug nicht am spezifizierten Abholtermin abholen, dann behalten wir uns das Recht vor, Ihnen eine Nichterscheinungsgebühr in Höhe der Kosten der Reservierung oder bis zu maximal € 70,00, je nachdem, welches der niedrigere Betrag ist anzurechnen. Im Falle eines Nichterscheinens wird Ihnen Ihre Kreditkartenzahlung abzüglich der Nichterscheinungsgebühr rückerstattet.

Nicht aufgebrauchte Miettage

Wir weisen darauf hin, dass nicht aufgebrauchte Miettage bei vorausbezahlten Reservierungen nicht rückerstattet werden.

Bulgaria

Additional Driver Policy

Addtitional driver's charge is 2.50 EUR + VAT per day (maximum of 25.00 EUR + VAT for the whole rental). Maximum of 2 additional driver's per agreement allowed.

Age Requirements

Minimum rental age is 21 years for all car groups.  There is no maximum age limit. A young driver's surcharge of 25.00 EUR + VAT per rental applies to anyone under 23 years of age.

Cross Border Policy

Travel outside Bulgaria is on Request only. Advance notice is required at point of reservation if the car is to be driven out of the country as cross border documents need to be prepared. National Alamo vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East countries, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Serbia (Kosovo only), Turkey, Ukraine or any island. National Alamo vehicles may be driven but not dropped off in Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina*, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia*, Montenegro*, Portugal, Serbia (excl. Kosovo)* and the United Kingdom. Only vehicle groups MDMR (Mini), EDMR(Economy), CDMR (Compact) and CCMR (Compact) may be driven but not dropped off in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia (excl. Kosovo). An extra insurance of EUR 8.00 (excluding tax) per day (plus CDW and TP) is mandatory and will be charged when driving into these countries. Driving in these countries with any other vehicle group is prohibited. Should these restrictions be ignored, all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, SCDW, TP, PAI), if accepted, shall be deemed null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to, or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle. Cars can be driven into all EU countries. An extra insurance of EUR 5.00 (excluding tax) per day (plus CDW and TP) is mandatory and will be charged when driving in EU countries. Additional documents required to cross border are: Special Insurance / Green Card, extension of insurance for travel abroad and letter of authorization issued by National location, additional charge of 25 Euro + VAT. For going abroad a period of 5 days advance notice is required to obtain all clients' data such as: a copy of their driving license and passport.

Delivery / Collection

During Office Hours: Within city limits up to 10 Km away radius of the National Location - free of charge and further the renter will be charged 0.50 Euro + VAT per kilometer plus initial fee of 15.00 EUR + VAT. If customer wishes to drop the car off at a hotel in a nearby town (up to 200 km away) e.g. Plovdiv & Pleven, then this is allowed for an extra charge of EUR 100.00 + tax. Outside Office Hours: Charges are as mentioned above but with an additional fee of 24.00 EUR + VAT if an employee of National is needed at this moment.

Insurance Excess

Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Waiver limits the customer's financial responsibility for loss, damage or theft of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents is EUR 600.00 + VAT. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting, please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies as well as options to reduce this excess value. If you would like to reduce or remove your excess responsibility please ask the rental staff when collecting your vehicle about additional products that are on offer .

License Requirements

All EU licences are valid in Bulgaria as well as America, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia etc. Military driving licences are not allowed. The licence must have been held for at least one year. Non-Roman script licences must have an International licence and their licence from country of domicile. Should your driving license not be resident to the country of origin of your booking we reserve the right to charge an appropriate rate for your country of residence.

One Way Rentals

Domestic one way rentals are allowed for all car groups and cost as follows: Sofia Apt to Bourgas Apt (and vice versa) - 150 Euro + VAT. Sofia Apt to Varna (and vice versa) - 180 Euro + VAT. Bourgas to Varna (and vice versa) - 70 Euro + VAT. One ways have to be pre-booked and the minimum length of rental must be at least 3 days for both Domestic and International One Ways. All Domestic and International one ways are on request. International one-way rentals are available - Please refer to International One Way Program (IOWP). The following groups are not allowed for International One Way rentals: IDMR (Intermediate), FVMR (Full Size Pax Van), CFMR (Compact 4x4), IFMR (Intermediate 4x4) and IFAR (Intermediate 4x4).

Out of Hours Policy

For Bourgas and Varna locations out of hours are on request. An additional fee of 24.00 EUR + VAT if an employee of Alamo/National is needed at this moment. Drop off box available for Sofia Airport.

Payment Policy

Acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, MasterCard, National Charge Card, National Voucher, Diners Club and Amex. (Travellers Cheques and Eurocheques are not accepted). Cash payments are accepted for car group MDMR (Mini) only - At the beginning of the rental, the client must leave the deposit of 1000.00 EUR if paying by cash. If paying by credit card, the deposit for groups MDMR (Mini), EDMR (Economy), EDAR (Economy), CDMR (Compact), CCMR (Compact), CFMR (Compact 4x4), CXMR (Compact Special) is 300 EUR, for group IDMR (Intermediate) is 500 EUR, for groups FVMR (Full Size Pax Van), IFMR (Intermedite 4x4), IFAR (Intermediate 4x4) is 600 EUR. At time of rental, credit cards must have available credit (funds) sufficient to pay/block the estimated amount of rental charges plus an amount determined by National Alamo Bulgaria (depending on the car group) to cover any incidental charges. The deposit will be unblocked automatically by the bank in 30 days after the day it was held. If a payment has been made in this period, the rest will be unblocked in one day. For the prepaid rentals, the available credit must be sufficient to block an amount determined by National Alamo Bulgaria (depending on the car group) to cover any incidental charges. Payments are accepted in Euro and BGN (Leva).

Refuelling Policy

The vehicle's are supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned the same otherwise an additional charge or 1.50 EUR + VAT per liter will apply. Fuel Purchase Option is available at the rental counter. For convenience, you may purchase a tank of fuel from National Alamo at the time of rental at a price that is competitive with local fuel stations.

Roadside Assistance

Breakdown Procedure: The driver must call the location from which the vehicle has been rented. In case the vehicle moves abroad and has a mechanical or other issue (including accident) the expenses for transportation for all countries abroad will be paid by the customer . Refunds of expenses will be honored against the dealer's official invoice or registered workshop that has effected the repair. If necessary a replacement car will be provided within 24 hours. Accident Procedure: Customers must report the accident immediately to the nearest police station and inform immediately a National / Alamo representative of the accident. The customer must request a copy of the formal police accident report and present the original at the end of the rental. A replacement vehicle will be provided within 24 hours if the accident was not caused by the influence of alcohol or by gross negligence of traffic rules. When renting, the customer will receive a list of available service stations, the Head Office telephone number and a 24 hour call line in case of breakdown or accident.

Special Equipment

Child/Toddler Seat - CST - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on freesale & 24 Hrs notice req. Booster Seat - BST - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on freesale & 24 Hrs notice req. SKI Rack - SKV - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req. Snow Chains - SNO - 2.50 EUR per day, maximum charge of 25.00 EUR per rental, on request & 24 Hrs notice req. GPS - EUR 6.00 per day, On Freesale. Deposit of EUR 100.00 required. This equipment is available only for Sofia International Airport location. All special equipment is available for all cars and prices above exclude VAT. All special equipment is available for one ways. No deposit is required. All cars are provided with reflective jackets and first aid kit, it's required by law. There is 20.00 Eur + VAT replacement amount if lost or damaged. All cars are provided with jack and key. If lost or damaged, there are 110.00 Eur + VAT for replacement.

Airport Surcharge - 16.67 EUR + VAT per rental Winter Fee - EUR 10.00 + tax per rental includes snow/winter tyres (applicable from 1st Nov - 1st Mar)
