Pristina International Airport (PRN) Car Hire

All additional drivers must meet all hire requirements. The main driver must present the original driving licence of any additional drivers if they cannot be present at the hire counter. Additional drivers can be added to the contract at any hire location within the same country and at any time during the hire. An additional driver fee of 19.67 EUR per hire applies.

After hours service is available at this location on request. Pickups and return times must be arranged with the location to ensure the office is manned by our employees and ready to check-out or check-in the rental. Confirmation is required by the branch to service after hours rentals and an hours advance notice applies. There is no fee for this after hours service. When returning the rental vehicle please follow sign for car rentals and park the vehicle in the designated parking spaces. Lock the rental vehicle and proceed to the rental counter with the vehicle keys where our employees will be on hand to check-in the rental.

The minimum age requirement to hire all vehicles is 21. The maximum age to hire is 70. Renters between the ages of 18 and 20 may hire the categories Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate. A young driver fee of 39.33 EUR per hire applies to all renters between the ages of 18 and 20. Young drivers must have held their driving licence for a minimum of 1 year. Renters between the ages of 61 and 70 may hire the categories Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate. A senior driver fee of 39.33 EUR per hire applies to all renters between the ages of 61 and 70.

Vehicles can be driven into all countries except Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia and Ukraine. Ferry crossings with the vehicle are permitted. A cross-border fee of 150.00 EUR per hire applies. In all cases, customers must inform the hire branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and will require authorisation to do so. Customers are required to inform the hire branch about any cross-border travel at least 3 days in advance. Unauthorised cross-border travel will result in a breach of contract and incur a penalty charge.

For border crossings into Albania, North Macedonia and Montenegro, a fee of 50.00 EUR applies. Travel to these countries does not need to be pre-authorised and can be arranged at the hire branch at the time of collection or at any time during the hire.

The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional service and reduces the renter's liability in the event of damage to the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified.
If CDW is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. If CDW is not included in the rental or CDW is declined, the renter will be liable for the total cost of damages to the vehicle or the full value of the vehicle in case of damage.

If purchased or included in the rental, the excess is:
1,000 EUR for the vehicle categories Mini and Economy;
1,200 EUR for the vehicle category Compact;
1,500–1,800 EUR for Intermediate and Standard vehicles;
2,000 EUR for all Passenger Vans and all Commercial Vans;
and 2,500–5,500 EUR for all Premium and Luxury vehicles.
The excess will be charged every time a vehicle is damaged

Before purchasing CDW, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If CDW is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and to seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance.

Delivery and collection is available at all Kosovo locations up to 20km of city limits at a charge of EUR 15 plus VAT. Delivery and collection over 20km outside of the city limits but up to a maximum of 30km will incur an additional fee of 0.90 EUR per km plus VAT. The primary renter upon collection and or delivery must be present to their passport, driving license and confirm payment method. All hires where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was collected from will be subject to a one-way fee. The one-way fee varies based on car category, location and pick-up date. The exact amount of the one-way fee will be displayed during the reservation process when entering the dates, desired route and car category.

Fuel policy: like for like.
Customers should return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as provided at the time of pick-up. If the customer returns the vehicle with less fuel, an additional fee will be charged for the amount of missing fuel according to the official refuelling rate.
In the case that the vehicle is returned with more fuel than given at the time of pick-up, no refund will be made.

During the winter season of 15 November to 15 March and in cases of inclement winter weather conditions in the country of Kosovo all rental vehicles are fitted with winter tires in accordance to local road laws. Winter tires are included in all rates.

All major credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Discover Card, are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Cash can be used to settle any outstanding balances at the end of the hire. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the hire will be taken at the time of hire. The deposit is 700 EUR for the categories Mini and Economy, 900 EUR for the categories Compact, Small SUV and Wagon, 1,100 EUR for the category Intermediate, and 1,300 EUR for the categories Passenger VAN and SUV. For Luxury vehicles a deposit of 1,500 EUR is required.

Basic Roadside Assistance is provided free of charge from our rental locations and covers the following services: Tow Replacement vehicle and technical assistance. Roadside Assistance is available 24-7 and the Roadside telephone number is 37744721721. In the case of lost keys or rental vehicle documents additional fees apply. To waive these fees the location offers Premium Roadside Assistance cover which comes with a daily fee of 2.66 EUR plus VAT. Premium Roadside Assistance cover can be purchased at all rental locations in Kosovo.

All drivers must present a valid international or European Union driving license that has been held for a minimum of 12 months along with an identity card or passport.  

SLP Third Party Liability is legally compulsory and included in all rates in Kosovo. Coverage limits - Third Party bodily injury or death up to 1,000,000 EUR and Third Party property damage up to 200,000 EUR.
